First Digital Surveillance is currently looking for a full-time Low Voltage Installer/Technician with experience.
We are looking for highly motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented low-voltage technicians who are looking to grow with an established Los Angeles-based company.
Job Description:
- Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber Optic).
- Install low-voltage infrastructure for commercial and residential projects.
- Install and support network cabling, data drops, patch panels, and equipment racks.
- Install support structures including ladder racks, cable trays, conduit, and J-hooks.
- Label, organize, and document cable installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage systems and cabling issues.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Must have good knowledge of structured cabling standards, installation methods, and best practices.
- Minimum 2 years of low-voltage installation experience.
- Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and Fiber Optic cabling preferred.
- Experience in both residential and commercial environments.
- Experience overseeing and/or leading crews is a plus.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and project drawings.
- Must have knowledge of installing support structures such as ladder racks, cable trays, conduit, and J-hooks.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in ceilings and crawl spaces.
- Must be dependable, professional, and interested in long-term employment.
- Must own a reliable truck/van with valid insurance, a valid driver's license, and a good driving record.
Travel Responsibilities:
- Local travel to and from job sites throughout the Los Angeles area.
